ENCINITAS LIFESAVING ASSOCIATION AT A GLANCE
The ELA continues to grow its social media presence. We made great strides through our Facebook outlet, and enlisted the efforts of an intern to assist with our Instagram and Snapchat outlets. Our new and updated webpage will allow us to market our sponsors and link webpages. Our internships and education programs reached more than 34,000 students and attended 3 Street Fairs and our both was visited by more than 4,700 individuals.
Our Coastline should be seen as fun and inviting. In a work environment where we, as lifeguards, tend to point out dangers, rescue those in distress, and deal with tragedies which not only affect the victim, but also the survivors it is important for our members to feel connected to a partner and product which follows them through work and their personal recreation time.
Again, the ELA is made up of professional watermen and women who know the value of high-quality products that can help make their job safe and work more proficiently.

BLAKE DRESNER MEMORIAL FUND
On Saturday, August 15th, Blake Dresner passed away after sustaining a fatal injury while surfing.
Blake was an Encinitas Lifeguard and will always be known as a dedicated, capable waterman whose heart belonged to the ocean. We will all miss his smile, his energy and his never ending passion to search for the perfect wave. All donations will made available to the Dresner Family to fund lifesaving efforts and leaving a legacy Blake would be proud of.
